PWR Cycle with Bill

In the gentle grip of the morning, I stepped into the PWR cycle realm, a place governed by numbers and spirited effort. Our guide through this numerical journey was Bill, a slender figure, seasoned yet brimming with youthful energy, punctuating the session with light-hearted banter and quips.

The class seemed a calculus of self-measurement, urging us to find a delicate balance between the rhythm of our bodies and the ticking metrics of the machines. Relying on the memory of a past FTP test, I anchored myself around a power output of 200W, making the session resonate on a deeper, personal level.

The structure of the class unfolded like a story with several chapters, each a unique blend of intense pedaling followed by moments of blissful recovery. These short breaks felt like a soothing touch on my aching muscles, granting them fleeting moments of peace amidst the energetic tempest.

Yet, as I pushed forward, a nagging feeling of fatigue began to seep in. My body, once an eager participant, now signaled signs of reluctance, hesitating to reach the fervent peaks it once conquered with ease. A glance at my smartwatch revealed a subdued heartbeat, a quiet testament to my growing exhaustion.

This PWR cycle session settled somewhere in the middle of my cycling experiences — not as fiery as an AMP session but definitely more vigorous than the EDG classes. A muted flame in the vibrant mosaic of my fitness journey, a reminder to perhaps embrace moments of tranquility amid the roaring blaze.

As the session neared its end, I couldn't shake off a subtle sense of holding back, a quiet reservation perhaps rooted in the anticipation of the yoga class, SOL (Heated), that lay ahead. With a spirit oscillating between excitement and a gentle hint of fatigue, I stood ready to plunge into the next chapter of my day, eager yet cautious, ready to embrace whatever lay on the horizon with grace and grit.

All the best,

Fred
